Exam Policies

Everything you need to know about how Efficiency Squared certification exams are administered, scored, and governed.

Exam format

All Efficiency Squared certification exams are delivered online through our learning management system (LMS). There is no in-person testing center or proctoring software required. You take the exam from any location with a stable internet connection using your own device.

  • Exams are accessed directly within the LMS after completing the required coursework.
  • Most exams consist of multiple-choice and scenario-based questions.
  • Time limits vary by credential — check your specific certification page for details.
  • Results are delivered immediately upon submission.

Honor system policy

Efficiency Squared exams operate on an honor system. We do not use remote proctoring, screen recording, or lockdown browsers. We trust our candidates to complete their exams independently and honestly.

By starting a certification exam, you agree to the following:

  • You will complete the exam on your own, without assistance from others.
  • You will not share exam questions, answers, or content with anyone.
  • You will not use unauthorized materials beyond what is explicitly permitted.
  • You understand that violations may result in revocation of the credential.

Our certification programs are built for practitioners who want to demonstrate real competency — not test-taking ability. The honor system reflects our belief that professionals who invest in their development don't need to be policed through it.

Passing score & results

Each certification program defines its own passing threshold. The minimum passing score and number of questions are listed on the respective certification page before you register.

  • Scores are calculated automatically and displayed immediately after submission.
  • A passing result triggers automatic certificate generation, available for download from your account.
  • Failing results include a breakdown by domain so you know where to focus before retaking.

Retake policy

If you do not pass on your first attempt, you may retake the exam under the following guidelines:

  • First retake: available after a 7-day waiting period at no additional cost.
  • Second retake: available after a 14-day waiting period at no additional cost.
  • Third and subsequent retakes: available after a 30-day waiting period. A retake fee may apply.

Waiting periods are designed to give you time to review the material and strengthen any weak areas before reattempting.

Accommodations

We are committed to providing equitable access to our certification exams. If you require accommodations due to a disability or other qualifying condition, please contact us at least five business days before your scheduled exam date.

Common accommodations include extended time, screen reader compatibility, and alternative question formats. Reach out to certifications@efficiencysquared.com or use our contact form to submit your request.

Credential integrity

Efficiency Squared reserves the right to revoke any credential if evidence of academic dishonesty, exam content sharing, or misrepresentation of the credential is substantiated. Credential holders are expected to uphold the professional standards associated with their certification.

Employers and third parties may verify any credential through our credential verification page.
