About this course
Course overview
See the work clearly — before you try to optimize it.
Most teams don't have an efficiency problem. They have a clarity problem dressed up as an efficiency problem. Work gets done that shouldn't have started. Meetings recur without owners. Requirements drift between "what was asked" and "what was built." The drag is invisible until you learn to name it.
Efficiency Foundations is the introductory course in the Efficiency Squared catalog. In one day, you'll learn the core mental models that underpin every E² program — the same frameworks our Practitioners apply to Business Analysis, Project Management, Agile, and Program leadership — distilled to the essentials a working professional can apply on Monday morning.
What the day looks like
The workshop runs 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and blends short instructional segments with hands-on practice. You'll bring a real project, process, or recurring meeting from your own work, and leave having audited it against the frameworks you learn.
- Morning: Value vs. activity · the five sources of organizational waste · framing the "why"
- Midday: The Value Lens · predictive vs. adaptive work · the 15-minute efficiency audit
- Afternoon: Applied practice on your own work · peer review · action planning
How it fits
Efficiency Foundations is the recommended starting point for learners who plan to pursue the Efficiency Squared Practitioner (E²P) certification, and it stands alone as a team-alignment workshop for organizations rolling out a common operating language. Graduates receive a completion certificate and a credit toward any E²P single-day workshop.
